Total Eclipse of the heart!

Hiya peeps,
I’m not long back after a lovely tour cum catch up with mates in Liverpool! It was a mixed bag for me.Firstly Liverpool is an amazing city, the architecture is beautiful and everyone I met seemed so friendly and chatty and welcoming to visitors.
On the first night we went to a pub quiz, a famous local one and although my team didn’t win we had such a laugh. The landlady is quite legendary and the banter flew round the room.I did win the true/false mini game at the end and won a box of choccies yay me!Afterwards we were entertained for 30 mins by one of the regulars telling us risque jokes it made my night!
On day 2 I was up early enough to watch the eclipse over Princes Dock, it was interesting but not as good as the one back in 1999…no birds going silent etc but very pretty! Later I went to comedy night and there was a drunk heckler (I later learnt she was from Yorkshire which was even more cringeworthy) one of her heckles was hilarious though she shouted up that at 9:30 there was going to be a solar eclipse…oh dear always one isn’t there? The clue is in the name, solar…
On my last day I had a bit of an accident. I was wearing flipflops at dinner and as I sat up to push my chair away my foot slipped and my foot hit the metal table post at about 100mph…the air was blue and sadly so is my foot so I spent the rest of my tour hobbling around feeling sorry for myself!
Regardless I met some lovely clients and yes I will be going back, I think it could well be one of my favourite places to tour..I’ll just avoid flipflops and table posts!
Always good to be home though and catch up with my Yorkshire fellas…see you soon! x
